Acrylic on canvas board, 9 inches x 12 inches. Based on a photo I found online years ago while I was in the UK. When I was in my 30’s I learned to repel off of not very high rock faces. I never was dare-devil enough to become a climber. Actually this “climber” could be repelling.
Paints:
- Ultramarine blue
- Cobalt blue
- Raw sienna
- Burnt sienna
- Raw umber
- Sap green
- P-Blue
- Titanium white
- Yellow ochre
I used a variety of flat and round brushes and a small pallet for mixing. I used the pallet for the mountains and hills, as well as some of the edges on the rock face.
I worked on the painting for about 2 hours. Here are a couple of images of the painting.
