Acrylic on canvas, 11″ x 14″, framed
In this painting I used Henri Matisse’s Seated Woman, Back Turned to the Open Window, 1922 as my reference painting.
I used the bezold effect which was introduced to me in Molly Herman’s course on Craftsy, The Artful Copy. I used an aquamarine glaze at the end.
The images beneath are earlier versions of my painting which shows some of the complimentary colors used as an under painting. A copy of Matisse’s painting is seen in the first image.
