I used a technique that I learned in a Craftsy course by Molly Herman, which she referred to as the “bezold effect.”
I did an undpainting using the complements of the final colors you see in Bonnard’s painting below. Â The Bezold effect is an interesting method. Â I’ve got a long way to go but I have done one other painting using Molly’s approach.
