Swimmer on the Road, acrylic on canvas, 11 x 14 inches.  I found the reference photo for this painting on Pixabay.com, and liked the juxtaposition of the swimmer crossing the road with distant hills in the background. It also reminded me and gave me inspiration to think and paint Hannum Price, San Mateo high school varsity swimmer, age 14.  Her courage to compete and try new challenges is reflected in the image of her in this swimmer.
