Acrylic on canvas, 9  by 12 inches.  The sky and the land was painted first on the canvas.  The canvas was divided into four sections, with the bottom 1/4 being the land, and then the top three sections a different color of blue.  I used manganese blue (bottom sky color), phthalate blue (middle), and ultramarine blue (top)—using a very small amount of each with titanium white.

To give the painting some depth, I sketched in a road scene with buildings, trees, and poles.
