Acrylic on canvas panel, 12 x 16 inches.  This is the second version of the pond. You can view the first version here.  I decided on some paintings to do a second painting soon after completing the first. Many artists insist this is a good idea for improving your painting style/ability. I’ll put the second painting up on the website as soon as its completed.  Well here it is.  For this painting I used a canvas panel, which makes the painting surface more firm than the stretched canvas.  I also added two small egrets.  I had an adult egret in the painting, but it was not really to scale, so I painted over it.  If you look closely you might be able see where it was placed.
