Jekyll is one of nearly a dozen barrier islands along the Georgia coast. Jekyll is a Georgia state park, with only 1/3 of the land developed with homes (land is leased from the state), hotels, and recreation sites.

She talked about the value of using just two colors, a brown and a blue. In my case, I used burnt sienna & ultramarine blue and a little white (Titanium white). One of her challenges was to paint using just two colors, Edward Hopper’s sailing painting.
